In 1978 KISS were literally the most popular band on the planet.  But the band opted to make a bold move that year that would in many ways signal the end of their reign as “the hottest band in the world”. All at once, at the same time, on the same date the band released each individual members solo album. Good Idea? Bad idea? The reception was a mixed bag of pleasant surprise and utter shock. Gene Simmons rendition of “When You Wish Upon a Star” was an odd choice, while Ace Frehley shockingly provided the only true success with his moderate hit “New York Groove” Paul and Peter didn’t make much of an impact at all. Enjoy one from each….
