- The hardest languages for English speakers to learn are Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
- Otis Redding wrote the song “Respect” in 1965 and released it two years before Aretha Franklin. But his version focused on a MAN who wanted respect . . . and “respect” was a euphemism for sex.
- Costco’s $1.50 hot dog-and-soda combo is so popular that Costcos around the country serve 100 million hot dogs a year . . . that’s four times more hot dogs than all of the Major League Baseball stadiums combined.
- Big Bird almost died in space. Caroll Spinney, the puppeteer who plays Big Bird, was invited to fly on the Challenger as Big Bird to get more kids interested in NASA . . . but the costume couldn’t fit, so he didn’t go.
