Zounds! Swedish Company Buys Marshall Amps

One of the most iconic brands in the history of rock has been bought out by a Swedish company.
Marshall Amps has been acquired by Zound Industries – a deal that includes the company’s amplifiers, drums, record label, and other product lines.
Marshall Amps was founded in London in 1962 by Jim Marshall, and rose to prominence thanks to early customers like Pete Townshend and Ritchie Blackmore.
