Top 10 Things We Hate Almost as Much as Taxes

The deadline to file your taxes is today – 4/15/24.  And if you’re doing them last-minute, you’re not alone.

According to a new survey for Tax Day, 47% of us procrastinate or delay doing our taxes.  The average person spends eight hours just stressing about it each year.  43% of us spend more time avoiding them than it would have taken to just buckle down and get them done.

So, stop delaying or, file for an extension and keep procrastinating for another six months.

That being said, we can all agree that taxes suck! They suck so much we can’t really think of anything that sucks more.  But that won’t stop us from trying with today’s list of the Top 10 Things We Hate Almost as Much as Taxes.

1. The “check engine” light.
2. Clipping the dog’s nails.
3. Screwing up the address AFTER we put the stamp on the envelope.
4. Ventriloquists.
5. Popcorn ceilings.
6. A coworker who actually brings their kid to work on Take Your Kid to Work Day.
7. The mess a cough drop makes when we leave it in the laundry.
8. Destination weddings.
9. Adults who shove kids out of the way to catch a foul ball.
10. Sandwiches that explode from the back when you bite into them.
