Things to Look Forward to in November 2023

Sadly, Halloween is over, which means it’s a new day & also a new month! Here are a few things to look forward to in November 2023…

• Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday. So we “gain” an hour of sleep, which is way better than losing an hour, like we do in the Spring!
• Our 27th Annual Bob Skaggs Memorial Food Drive kicks off at 6am on Monday, November 20th and runs through 12pm on Wednesday, November 22nd!

In Sports: 

• The World Series continues tonight.
• The new NBA season is just getting started.
• The MLS playoffs are underway.
• The NASCAR Cup Series Championship is this Sunday (11/5).

In Movies:

• Sofia Coppola’s new Priscilla Presley biopic, “Priscilla”, opens wide this Friday (11/3).
• The latest Marvel movie “The Marvels” hits theaters on 11/10.
• The new prequel, “Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” arrives on the 17th.
• Eli Roth’s new horror flick, “Thanksgiving” also comes out on 11/17.
• Ridley Scott’s “Napoleon” with Joaquin Phoenix opens on the 22nd.
• The new Disney movie, “Wish” hits theaters on 11/22.
• “Maestro” with Bradley Cooper as Leonard Bernstein also opens on 11/22.

On TV: 

• Showtime’s new series “The Curse”, with Nathan Fielder and Emma Stone, premieres on the 10th.
• Season four of “For All Mankind” debuts on 11/10 on Apple TV.
• Season five of “Fargo” arrives on FX the 21st.
• The CMA Awards are next Tuesday 11/7.
• The Grammy nominees get announced next Friday 11/10.
• The Billboard Music Awards are November 19th.

The Holidays: 

• Veterans Day is November 11th.
• Thanksgiving is November 23rd.
• This Friday (11/3) is National Sandwich Day.
• Monday (11/6) is National Nachos Day.
• November 13th is World Kindness Day.
• November 24th is BLACK FRIDAY.
