Things to Look Forward to in December 2023

Here we are, starting our journey through the last month of 2023. So, I’m sharing a few things to look forward to in December…

In Sports: 

• College football’s bowl games start December 16th.
• Plus lots of NFL, NBA, and NHL action this month.

In Movies: 

• Eddie Murphy’s first holiday flick “Candy Cane Lane” hits Prime Video today (12/1).
• The new Julia Roberts thriller “Leave the World Behind” lands on Netflix next Friday (12/8).
• “Wonka” with Timothée Chalamet opens on December 15th.
• “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” arrives on December 22nd.
• The new animated film “Migration” also comes out on December 22nd.
• On Christmas Day “Ferrari” starring Adam Driver opens.
• The new musical adaptation of “The Color Purple” also comes out on December 25th.

On TV: 

• The last six episodes of “The Crown” hit Netflix December 14th.
• Three new “Doctor Who” specials hit Disney+ this month – one tomorrow (12/2), another one next Saturday (12/9) and a Christmas special on December 25th.
• “The Great British Baking Show: Holidays” next Friday (12/8).
• The National Christmas Tree Lighting special on CBS December 15th.

The Holidays: 

• Christmas on December 25th.
• Hanukkah is December 7th to the 15th.
• Kwanzaa starting on December 26th.
• National Cookie Day is next Monday (12/4).
• National Ice Cream Day on December 13th.
• Ugly Sweater Day on December 15th.
• The first official day of winter is December 21st.
• Festivus is December 23rd.
• December 31st is New Year’s Eve, when we finally say “so long” to 2023.
