Rare Comic Book Just Sold for $6 Million

Sure, I’m a nerd. But…I’m a nerd that does NOT have millions of extra dollars sitting around to spend on rare comic books like this one! A rare comic book just sold for $6 million, which is the all-time record.

Not surprisingly, it was a copy of “Action Comics” #1 from 1938, featuring the first appearance of Superman.

Experts think there are only about 100 of these still kicking around, out of the 200,000 that were printed back in the day.

The previous sales record was also held by Superman.  A copy of 1939’s “Superman” #1 sold for $5.3 million in 2022.

In third place is a copy of “Amazing Fantasy” #15, from 1962.  That’s where Spider-Man made his debut.  It sold for $3.6 million in 2021.
