Big Dave’s 5 Nuggets Of Knowledge For Your Noggin’ – (8/9/23)

Here are Big Dave’s 5 Nuggets of Knowledge for your Noggin’ – on this Wednesday, August 9th, 2023. Let’s learn something together:

  1. 16 of our 100 U.S. Senators are 75 or OLDER.  Five are at least 80.  And Dianne Feinstein turned 90 in June.  But that’s NOTHING compared to Strom Thurmond, who represented South Carolina in the Senate until he was 100 YEARS OLD.  In his lifetime, he served more than 48 years in the Senate.
  2. Machu Picchu was built in 1450, which means it’s younger than Oxford University.
  3. Michael Jackson sang the chorus for the one-hit wonder “Somebody’s Watching Me” by Rockwell.
  4. No president has ever lived to be 100.  Jimmy Carter has a shot, he’s already the longest living president ever, and he turns 99 in October.
  5. A woman in Detroit named Evelyn Overton found a recipe for cheesecake in the newspaper in the 1940s.  She started selling the cheesecakes at a bakery in L.A., which her son turned into the first location of the Cheesecake Factory.

Be sure to share these 5 Nuggets of Knowledge for your Noggin’ with your family, friends & coworkers at some point today!
