Big Dave’s 5 Nuggets Of Knowledge For Your Noggin’ – (7/13/23)

Here are Big Dave’s 5 Nuggets of Knowledge for your Noggin’ – on this Thursday, July 13th, 2023. Let’s learn something together:

  1. When you hear the sound of the crowd cheering, “Spartacus!  Spartacus!” in the movie “Spartacus”, it was actually a pre-taped recording from a 1959 football game at Michigan State University’s Spartan Stadium.
  2. The first Black president on film was Sammy Davis Jr. in 1933, in “Rufus Jones For President”.  He was only seven years old, and it was about his mother dreaming of him being president.
  3. Bizzy Bone from Bone Thugs-n-Harmony was kidnapped as a child.  His picture was shown at the end of a TV movie called “Adam”, about a kidnapped boy.  Thanks to the picture, Bizzy was found and he went back home to Cleveland, Ohio where he met the other members of Bone Thugs in high school.  And the father of the boy in the movie. John Walsh, went on to start “America’s Most Wanted”.
  4. “Beverly Hills Cop” was originally going to be a straight action film starring Sylvester Stallone as a character named “Axel Cobretti.”  He pulled out two weeks before filming started and the studio rewrote the movie to fit Eddie Murphy.
  5. There are more than 500 species of plants that eat animals.  Venus flytraps are just the most famous ones.

Be sure to share these 5 Nuggets of Knowledge for your Noggin’ with your family, friends & coworkers at some point today!
