3. One of the crew members who died on the Titanic was named Joseph Dawson, and his tombstone says “J. Dawson.”  But James Cameron didn’t know about him when he picked “Jack Dawson” as the name for Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in “Titanic”.  Ever since then, Joseph Dawson’s grave in Canada gets a lot more visits and flowers.
