Big Dave’s 5 Nuggets Of Knowledge For Your Noggin’ – (12/12/23)

Here are Big Dave’s 5 Nuggets of Knowledge for your Noggin’ – on this Tuesday, December 12th, 2023. Let’s learn something together:

  1. People who work at U.S. nuclear power plants are exposed to less radiation than what is given off by the granite walls inside the U.S. Capitol Building.  In fact, the Capitol is so radioactive, because of the high uranium content in the granite, that it could never be licensed as a nuclear power reactor site.
  2. Samoa and American Samoa are less than 80 miles apart, but since they’re on opposite sides of the International Date Line, their time zones are 24 hours apart.
  3. Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr worked together as defense attorneys in America’s first murder trial in 1800.  Four years later, Burr killed Hamilton in a duel.
  4. Aerosmith has 21 singles that made the top 40, but only one number one:  “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” from the “Armageddon” soundtrack in 1998.
  5. Stephen Hawking is the only person who’s ever played themselves on an episode of “Star Trek”.  He was on an episode of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” playing poker against holograms of other great scientists.

Be sure to share these 5 Nuggets of Knowledge for your Noggin’ with your family, friends & coworkers at some point today!
