ZZ Top Play First Shows Since Dusty Hill’s Death

Over the weekend, ZZ Top returned to the stage for their first shows since the death of bassist Dusty Hill last week.
The band performed in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Friday and Valdosta, Georgia on Saturday, with longtime guitar tech Elwood Francis handling bass guitar duties.
The band paid tribute to Hill by hanging his cowboy hat from a mic stand during “Tush” – which was typically sung by Dusty.
Hill died last week at the age of 71, after leaving the band’s 50th anniversary tour due to a hip injury.
