You Don’t Have to Treat Your Coworkers Like Garbage to Get Ahead

You’re not going to believe this, but people DON’T want to work with someone who treats them like they’re HUMAN GARBAGE.

Who knew?!?!

According to a new study by the University of California, Berkeley, people who are hostile, dishonest, and manipulative with their coworkers don’t get any further in their careers than people who are actually decent human beings at work.

The researchers say there’s always been a question whether people who are, quote, “aggressive, scheming, and selfish” get ahead more than others, but there’s never been a definitive study on it until now.

The reason we might THINK bad people get ahead is because we’re more likely to remember them, so when we’re thinking about our careers, they’re the people who stick out.
