There’s a “Knight Rider” Movie in the Works (Again)

Deadline.com says James Wan is working on a new “Knight Rider” movie.
He’s the director behind “Saw”, “The Conjuring”, and “Aquaman”. It’s unclear if he’d be directing, or if he’s only onboard as a producer.
Three years ago, there was another “Knight Rider” movie in development with “Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn. That one was a COMEDY, with JOHN CENA playing Michael Knight and KEVIN HART voicing the car, KITT.
Plans for that one fizzled out, and as far as we know this new project is completely unrelated.
The original “Knight Rider” show ran from 1982 to 1986 (and Big Dave LOVED it).
There was a sequel series in 2008, but it only lasted one season (which Big Dave did NOT watch).
