Texas is Named a Top 10 Best State for a Summer Road Trip

An annual study on the best states for a summer road trip just came out.

America’s SMALLEST state ranked last, which makes sense, because you can drive across the whole thing and be home in time for lunch.

The study looks at 33 different factors in three categories: Cost, safety, and how many attractions or activities there are — like national parks, amusement parks, beaches, lakes, and scenic drives.

According to the results, the best state for a summer road trip this year is New York and the worst state is Rhode Island.

2. Texas
3. Louisiana
4. Maine
5. North Carolina
6. Minnesota
7. Utah
8. Illinois
9. Michigan
10. Wisconsin

The 5 WORST states for road trips are:

1. Rhode Island
2. Delaware
3. Connecticut
4. Hawaii
5. Arkansas

Louisiana is the cheapest road trip state, Maine is the safest and it didn’t make the top ten, but California has the most stuff to do.
