Explained: State of Texas, Collin County & Dallas County Executive & “Shelter In Place” Orders
All of the information about COVID-19 is coming in fast and can be difficult to sort through. We understand how easy it can be to become overwhelmed. Thank you to our friends at the Anna Chamber of Commerce for helping to simplify the recent local and statewide Executive Orders. Here is the email from them:

Dear Alpha Media,
First, your Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce is not an attorney or health official. Below is our understanding of the Texas and Collin County Executive Orders, as well as, Dallas County Shelter-in-Place orders as of this correspondence.

*Must avoid social gatherings with 10 or more people
*Must close: massage parlors and gyms
*Must not eat or drink inside: restaurants, bars or food courts
*Must not visit nursing homes, retirement or long-term care facilities
*Must temporarily close schools
*All elective medical, surgical and dental procedures are prohibited (must be cancelled or stopped).If you are in Dallas County (work or live) = https://bit.ly/

*Shelter at your place of residence = Shelter-in-place
*Stay home unless you are running essential errands or going to get medical help
*Must be 6 feet away from others when outside your residence (i.e. if in a grocery store or at work)
*Only essential businesses may remain open; all non-essential must close and/or work from home only
*Restaurants can only be open if: they offer a drive in, curbside service and/or take out service
*Churches may video and teleconference providing no more than 10 people (staff) are inside the church during these video and teleconference recordings

*If you can stay home, stay home
*Must be 6 feet away from others when outside your residence (i.e. if in a grocery store or at work)
*If your businesses cannot comply to CDC guidelines you must close (if you cannot be 6 feet away from all other people in your building you must close) = hair salons, nails salons, etc. must close because you cannot follow the CDC guidelines at this time
*If you are sick or may be sick with COVD-19 say home, unless seeking medical help
*If someone in your residence has tested positive for COVID-19, all must stay in the residence unless seeking medical help
*If you think you may be a high risk for COVID-19 you must stay home, unless seeking medical help
