On October 14, 1977 KISS would double down on the success of it’s first live album “ALIVE”. Recorded during the 1977 “Love Gun” tour the 3 live sides of KISS ALIVE II represent music from the bands 3 previous studio albums Destroyer, Rock N Roll Over and Love Gun. Much like ALIVE the album has faced much controversy over it’s claims of being a “live” album. Most of the albums tracks were recorded between August 26 – 28 at the Forum, with “I Stole Your Love” having been recorded during a mid-day sound check with crowd noise dubbed, Beth and others were taken from a previous live recording done in Japan. Side 4 of the album features studio tracks recorded to fill out the album, in response to the desire by the band to not repeat songs that appeared on ALIVE.
