Reminder: Jon Bon Jovi Was Not Arrested For Public Intoxication In Ireland

As a public service, we must once again remind you that Jon Bon Jovi was *not* arrested for public intoxication in Ireland in 2020.
This one’s making the rounds on the internet again, so let’s set the record straight: In November 2020, 43-year-old Daniel Flip was arrested by Dublin police after he was found “sitting on the ground surrounded by empty cans of beer”.
For reasons unknown, Flip told police his name was ‘Jon Bon Jovi’ and gave them a false address.
He would later plead guilty to both public intoxication and giving false information, and was fined roughly $220.
While the real Jon Bon Jovi’s whereabouts at the time are unconfirmed, we’re pretty sure he wasn’t getting drunk by a fountain in Dublin.
