Open Arms For Guitars: Neal Schon Added To His Collection During Pandemic

Journey founder Neal Schon admits he got hooked on something during the pandemic — buying guitars. Schon already had a collection of 650 guitars before purchasing another 150 over the past two years. He admitted in an interview with People, “I kept buying, buying, buying, buying, and it became like a hobby. It was like being hooked on something, like gambling — and I don’t gamble.” While Schon clearly has a soft spot for all of his guitars, one, in particular, has special meaning: a 1954 gold Les Paul that his wife bought him for his 65th birthday.
