New Executive Order Keeps Texas Schools Closed

Gov Abbott announced a new Executive Order that will keep Texas students home until at least May 4th. The announcement came during a press conference held by State officials today. Abbott asked Texans to continue social distancing and released a new list of essential and nonessential services guidelines. As of noon on Tuesday April 30, 42,922 Texans have been tested for COVID-19, with 3,266 testing positive in 122 counties. 41 people in Texas have died from the virus so far. Grayson County just announced it’s 8th confirmed case today.
