Happy Birthday to Nazareth vocalist Dan McCafferty, born October 14, 1946 in Dunfermline, Scotland. He is 74. McCafferty co-founded Nazareth in 1968 and has toured and recorded with the band for 45 years. His emotionally charged and unmistakable shriek is so powerful on tracks like “Love Hurts”, “Miss Misery” and the classic “Hair of the Dog” it’s easy to see why he is considered one of the best, but most underrated vocalists of the era.
