Apparently, at a dinner party, while discussing other artists and their own careers, Elton John, Freddie Mercury and Rod Stewart once talked about starting a “supergroup” and calling it…wait for it….”Nose, Teeth & Hair”. The name, of course, a jab at what the 3 superstars considered to be their own unfortunate physical attributes. In his 2012 biography Rod Stewart elaborates on the conversation saying they laughed about dressing up like the “Beverly Sisters” who were the British equivalent of The Andrews Sisters and goes on to joke that the fact that this concept never took on life was “contemporary music’s deep and abiding loss”.
