Eddie Van Halen Guitar Sold At Auction

A guitar that once belonged to the late Eddie Van Halen was auctioned off over the weekend.
The so-called ‘Frankenstrat’ guitar sports Eddie’s signature red, white, and black striping. It’s believed to have been used during Van Halen’s 1984 and 5150 tours.
EVH gave the guitar to one of his own personal guitar heroes – Leslie West of Mountain, who also died in 2020. West gave the guitar to one of his bodyguards, who sold it on Sunday for an undisclosed amount.
