I was born in the late 1970s, close to the end of the span that is typically defined as Generation X — 1965-1980.  As a proud gen-xer, I relate to a lot of 80s & 90s movies!  And MovieWeb.com put together a list of 15 movies that they think truly represent my generation.  Here’s that list:

1.  “Office Space”  (1999)

2.  “Trainspotting”  (1996)

3.  “Clueless”  (1995)

4.  “Empire Records”  (1995)

5.  “Reality Bites”  (1994)

6.  “Dazed and Confused”  (1993)

7.  “Wayne’s World”  (1992)

8.  “Say Anything”  (1989)

9.  “Do the Right Thing”  (1989)

10.  “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure”  (1989)

11.  “Heathers”  (1988)

12.  “St. Elmo’s Fire”  (1985)

13.  “The Breakfast Club”  (1985)

14.  “The Goonies”  (1985)

15.  “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”  (1982)

Personally, there are a bunch of movies I’d add to this list – such as Kevin Smith’s Clerks & Mall Rats, Pulp Fiction, The Lost Boys, Fight Club, Hackers, Swingers, Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead, etc. My wife would likely want to add Pretty in Pink & Sixteen Candles to the list as well.

What about you? What movies would you add to the list?
