Judas Priest guitarist Glenn Tipton has a birthday. In 2018 Tipton revealed he was suffering from Parkinsons desease and would no longer be able to tour. In June 2018, Judas Priest launched the Glenn Tipton Parkinson’s Foundation.   Glenn is 72 today.

Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jabs was discovered by bassist Francis Buchholz while tutoring him in math to earn extra money. Jabs replaced guitarist Uli Jon Roth in 1979 and has played on every subsequent Scorpions album. He is 64 today.
