Big Dave’s 5 Nuggets Of Knowledge For Your Noggin’ – (6/16/22)

Here are Big Dave’s 5 Nuggets of Knowledge for your Noggin’ on this Thursday – June 16th, 2022. Let’s learn something together:

  1. Lake Superior contains 10% of the world’s freshwater.  It’s the size of South Carolina and contains 2,900 cubic miles of water.
  2. The Swedish government owned Absolut Vodka until 2008.  They sold it for approximately $6.3 billion to Pernod Ricard . . . the company that makes Seagram’s, Chivas Regal, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Kahlua, and Malibu rum.
  3. The original stop signs debuted in 1915.  They were smaller than the current ones and featured black letters on a white background.  In the 1920s, they became black on YELLOW.  They weren’t white on red until 1954.
  4. Horses and sharks are ticklish . . . although maybe you shouldn’t go around tickling sharks to test that out.
  5. There are two ATMs in Antarctica . . . and they’re run by Wells Fargo.  So if you have a Wells Fargo account, there’s no ATM fee.

Be sure to share one or more of these 5 Nuggets of Knowledge for your Noggin’ with your family, friends & coworkers at some point today!
