In 1962, an advertising executive named Martin Speckter introduced a new punctuation mark called the “interrobang,” which combined a question mark with an exclamation mark.  But it never caught on.  It was depicted as one combined character, but it’s similar to someone typing “?!?” for surprised, rhetorical questions.  Like, for punctuating, “Are you OUT of your mind?!” or “You call THAT a hat?!”
