Here are Big Dave’s 5 Random Facts for your Monday – March 28th, 2022. Let’s learn something together:

  1. Unlike most animals, goats have excellent object permanence and are able to remember where objects are hidden without being able to see or smell them.
  2. The Mr. Olympia bodybuilding competition has only had 16 different men win in its 57 years.  The most famous winner is Arnold Schwarzenegger, he won it seven times between 1970 and 1980.
  3. Scientists now believe the Black Plague in the 1300s wasn’t spread by rats, it was spread by wild GERBILS.
  4. There are only two countries in the world without mosquitoes, and both are roughly in the same part of the world:  Iceland and the Faroe Islands.  It’s a bit of a mystery why . . . but it might be because the climate in both is too variable and harsh for mosquitoes.
  5. The name Kennedy comes from the Gaelic words for “ugly head.”
