  1. The inventor of Tickle Me Elmo was a Unabomber suspect.  The FBI actually talked with him over six months, due to MANY coincidences that linked him to the Unabomber.  He wasn’t cleared until Ted Kaczynski was arrested.
  2. To keep kids from cheating on their university entrance exams, Uzbekistan literally shuts off the entire Internet in the country on test day.
  3. Corona didn’t pay to have their beer featured in the “Fast and Furious” franchise . . . the producers just picked it because it fit the vibe of the characters. The free product placement has been worth at least $15 million to Corona.
  4. Disney’s “Pocahontas” originally had a role written for John Candy.  He was voicing a turkey named Redfeather.  But the character was cut out after his death.
  5. Fireball whiskey was originally developed as part of a line of flavored schnapps by Seagram in the mid ’80s.
