Big Dave’s 5 Nuggets Of Knowledge For Your Noggin’ (1/5/22)

Here are Big Dave’s 5 Random Facts for your Wednesday – January 5th, 2022. Let’s learn something together:

  1. In the past, soccer balls were brown, and then bleached white. The black pentagons were introduced for TV at the 1970 World Cup to show viewers the position and rotation of the ball, particularly on black-and-white TVs.
  2. Americans are drinking less orange juice now than any other time in the past two decades, but we still drink more than any other country in the world.
  3. Matt Groening created “The Simpsons” but he’s only written four episodes, and in three of those cases, he’s a co-writer.  The only episode where he’s the sole writer is from 1992, where Homer manages a country singer.
  4. When you lose weight, you breathe out the fat as carbon dioxide.
  5. Americans pronounce Adidas wrong…it’s supposed to be AH-dee-das, with a slight emphasis on the FIRST syllable.  Not ah-DEE-das, stressing the second.

Be sure to use one of these little tidbits in your life this week!
