Ozzy Osbourne won the Best Rock Album Grammy last night for “Patient Number 9” (you can watch the acceptance speech in the video above) and his “Degradation Rules” song, featuring Tony Iommi, won the Best Metal Performance Grammy – but there are a bunch of Rock artists who have NEVER won or even been nominated for a Grammy.

Let us know if you’re surprised by the following list or think the Recording Academy is RIGHT in snubbing them:

  • Guns N’ Roses . . . 3 nominations
  • Def Leppard . . . 0 nominations
  • Journey . . . 1 nomination
  • Foreigner . . . 3 nominations
  • The Who . . . 2 nominations
  • The Moody Blues . . . 0 nominations
  • Creedence Clearwater Revival . . . 0 nominations
  • Heart . . . 4 nominations
  • Queen . . . 4 nominations
  • Jimi Hendrix . . . 1 nomination
  • Joe Satriani . . . 15 nominations

Now, some of these artists DO have Grammy lifetime achievement awards – including The Who and Jimi Hendrix. Maybe that’s a way to make up for overlooking them in the past?
