Foreigner’s 3rd studio album Head Games was released on this day 41 years ago in 1979. The last to feature founding members Ian McDonald and Al Greenwood who would leave the band after the recording and the first to be produced by Roy Thomas Baker, best known for working with Queen. The album was a huge commercial success for the band in the US and worldwide. Both the title cut and the classic “Dirty White Boy” are still staples on classic rock radio and some of the bands best known songs. Head Games has been awarded 5x Multi-Platinum status for selling more than 5 million copies in the US alone.
