bio

Born: Paradise, California 1976 (shortly after dinosaurs became extinct)

Jackie began a professional acting career at the age of nineteen that landed him in numerous television commercials, independent films, stand-up comedy, and voice-overs.  His most memorable spot was a Coca-Cola commercial with Troy Aikman made as a remake of the old Mean Joe Green spot.  One night while out on the town, Jackie was signed up for a stand-up comedy contest by one of his friends as a practical joke.  He decided to play along and ended up performing.  He wound up advancing to the next rounds, and later won the grand prize in the entire contest (which was a trip to NY to Comedy Central).  Shortly after that, Jackie moved to Hollywood.   “I liked living in California, but one thing I learned about performing stand-up out there, they expect you to be funny! I knew there would be a catch.”

Jackie said that L.A. life wasn’t for him when he realized he “wasn’t talented enough to break into the film industry, tough enough to join a gang, or tall enough to date Paris Hilton.”  “Those are pretty much the only things to do in L.A., so I’m heading back to Texas!”  Once arriving back in Dallas, Jackie began dabbling in radio working as a character voice for different radio shows.  He began working as a full-time disc jockey for Next Media in September of ’04. “I like working in radio because I love music, and it is more of a steady job that is still in the entertainment field. This creates a little bit more of a job security feeling. At least until I get fired!”   Jackie is currently represented by the Kim Dawson Agency and DreamsFly Talent in Dallas. He can still be seen on television commercials and independent films, and is currently working on his second screenplay.  His very first screenplay is a comedy, and is currently under an option agreement with a film company in Dallas.  However, his main passion is being on air.  “I love my job because talking on air always feels sort of like a performance.  Not to mention I get to wear a hat to work! In my opinion, that makes any job cool!”

After hosting the afternoon show for three years, Jackie was moved to host the morning show for Mad Rock 102.5, and can currently be heard weekday mornings from 5:30a-9a.

Jackie has also been a club DJ for ten years, and has held residency at some of the hottest night clubs in Dallas and Los Angeles under his first and middle name, DJ Jackie Wayne.

Favorite Book? I once read Stevie Wonder's biography...He really should have had someone else write it because it just looked like a bunch of scribbling to me!

Most famous celebrity ever met? I currently have a restraining order against me from Kelly Clarkson.  I told you she was a lesbian!

Biggest Accomplishment?
I learned to write hieroglyphics in cursive.
Booya!
