Jason Nathanson/ABC News RadioBlack Sabbath drummer Bill Ward has issued a message thanking fans for their encouragement following his band mates' announcement on Friday that they were prepared to move forward with their reunion album without him. A note Ward posted on his official website Saturday reads, "I just wanted to humbly thank you all. Your support from across the world has given me further strength and hope for a positive resolve. I have been moved and overwhelmed by the thousands of messages. I love you all. Rock forever, Bill."
The message from Sabbath's other members -- Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler -- came in response to a long statement from Ward the previous day in which he complained about what he considers an unfair contract he's being offered to participate in the recently-announced album and accompanying world tour. He insisted that he would sit out the reunion if he wasn't presented with a "signable" deal.
It's worth mentioning that while the note from Osbourne, Iommi and Butler announced that they would keep recording without Ward, it also declares, "our door is always open."

Larry Marano/Getty ImagesLast month, Megadeth kicked off its revived Gigantour featuring Motörhead, Volbeat and Lacuna Coil. In a recent interview with Oakland's Daily Tribune, frontman Dave Mustaine said that the time was right to end the tour's four year hiatus. “Gigantour is something that requires a lot of time and effort that I just didn’t have for awhile,” explained Mustaine. “Now, because Motörhead, one of the bands I wanted to go out and play with for awhile, has become available, and because that other two that I like are available, it just seemed like the right time to do it again.”
Mustaine added that recently reuniting with original bassist Dave Ellefson also breathed new life into the band. “I’m the last person on Earth who would’ve thought he’d be back in Megadeth, and I think Dave was the second to last person,” revealed Mustaine. “We had our differences and all that stuff, and went our separate ways. When the opportunity came to play again, it was not as far-fetched as one would think. I’m just happy we’re still doing this and making music this long, ‘cause you never know what’ll happen.”
