Help the Grayson County Children’s Advocacy Center raise $5,000 to train Nemo (their new Therapy Dog)

Every summer Mad Rock’s Burnin’ Asphalt Fun Run benefits our friends at the Grayson County Children’s Advocacy Center. But our friends at the GCCAC are doing something right now we want you to know about.

They have a new therapy Dog named Nemo who needs to go through some special training to help out during the forensic interviews and other situations to help children who come through the center feel calm and relaxed, despite very bad situations. The training costs $5,000. So, an online fundraiser has been set up through Crowd Rise to help them reach their goal.

You may have heard Big Dave mention it during his morning show (Wednesday, April 12th). Well, as he always says, he’s not going to ask YOU to do something he’s not willing to do himself. So, Big Dave made a $25 donation right after his show. Can you do the same and help out with this? It will only take 500 people donating $10 a piece to make this happen for the GCCAC. And, at the time this is being written, they’re already up to $920.
