The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has some BIG plans for Highway 69/75 in Bryan County. And for anyone who’s ever been stuck at the traffic lights near Choctaw Casino Resort, this is FANTASTIC news!
According to KXII, ODOT hopes to secure grants and funding of around $120 Million dollars to build overpasses for Highway 69/75 at Choctaw Road in Durant and Main Street in Calera.
It’s an effort to improve traffic flow in this rapidly growing area and to eliminate the types of deadly accidents that have occurred in those locations.
If the project is approved it’s expected to start sometime in 2019 and take about three years to complete. Check out all the documents for this project on the ODOT website.
